Where to stay in Hoorn? Many guests from abroad ask me for advice on the best places to spend the night. Of course that depends on the company and the specific wishes. Most places to stay can easily be found on the well-known booking sites. But I have listed a number of real recommendations: my personal top 5 ‘where to stay in Hoorn’.

Stay overnight in a unique VOC house in Hoorn! That is possible at the ‘Count of Hoorn’, a beautiful Boutique Guesthouse in the heart of Hoorn. Look for more info and reservations: Graaf van Hoorn
Hotel Brasserie Oostereiland
This special hotel used to be a real prison. So you can spend the night in a real prison cell or in a luxury hotel room of which some have an unobstructed view of the IJsselmeer and passing ships. Rest assured, the service is a lot more extensive than it was when it was still a prison! For more info and reservations please visit: https://hotel-oostereiland.nl
Ysbrantz boutique hotel
From the summer 2020 Hoorn will have a great new boutique hotel right in the center: Ysbrantz. This hotel is run by Marco Wohlken and Laura Luca, known for the popular brasserie de Tuynkamer. The boutique hotel is small-scale. It has ten rooms and a restaurant that can seat 77 guests. The restaurant has a terrace both in front of and in the inner city garden behind the building. Are you sure you want to stay longer than one night in beautiful Hoorn? In that case it is a unique experience to spend the night in the Maria Tower. This is an old defensive tower from the 17th century. You can book via Monument & Bed: Maria Toren
Sleeping in a museum? Yes, that’s possible in Hoorn! House Bonck is an old merchant’s house from 1624. Later this house also served as a linen weaving mill, city farm, house and now also as a museum. Since 2019 part of the house can be rented as a B&B. This part is equipped with all modern conveniences and is very spacious. More information: Huis Bonck
